Force Of Hope Memorial

In loving memory of John "Jack" Force (1935-2003)

McKie and John Force

Our inspiration for our Force of Hope Award
Awarded to individuals and groups that are a force of hope and positive action in their community, all of us at Generation Hope wish to express our deep sorrow for the loss of a loving and loved friend, John “Jack” Force. John was the beloved husband to McKie Force who is the dedicated and supportive President of Generation Hope’s Board of Directors. John and McKie were a true love story having met when McKie was 15 and John was 17 years old and they were happily married for 45 years. John graduated from Collingdale High School in Delaware County and served in the Army for two years; John played football both in high school and in the Army and proved to be quite a presence on the field. John worked for GE’s Aerospace Division for the majority of his career and a highlight of his career was his involvement in the mission that successfully put the first man on the moon!

In addition to his loving wife, John also leaves behind his mother, June, and stepfather, Tony; his son, John, daughter-in-law, Lisa, and their three children John (19), Kyle (16), and Amanda (9); and his daughter, Rae Ann. John raised, educated and loved his children and continued to be a source of strength, humor, support and love for his grandchildren. Those who knew John fondly refer to him as a ‘gentle giant’ and carry loving memories of his sweet, giving, loving, funny and generous soul. Anything John could give to help others, he would—especially to his sweetheart, McKie.

Thank you to everyone who has given their love, friendship and support to McKie and her family to help them through this difficult time. And thank you to everyone for all the generous contributions to Generation Hope in memory of John. John Force was truly a force of good in this world who will not be forgotten and he will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
